Florida FAQs
Do you write ObamaCare plans in Florida?
Yes. We are appointed with the major Florida ACA carriers (Florida Blue, Ambetter, Oscar, Aetna CVS Health, UnitedHealthcare and more) and can enroll you on Healthcare.gov through our HealthSherpa agent portal at no cost to you.
Can you help with Medicare in Florida?
Yes. We compare Medicare Supplement (Medigap), Medicare Advantage and Part D prescription drug plans for Florida residents in every county.
When is ObamaCare Open Enrollment in Florida?
Florida uses Healthcare.gov, so Open Enrollment runs November 1 through January 15 each year. Enroll by December 15 for a January 1 effective date. Outside Open Enrollment, you may qualify for a Special Enrollment Period after a move, job loss, marriage, birth or loss of other coverage.
Which Florida hospital networks do your plans use?
Plans vary by county, but our Florida carriers contract with networks including Baptist Health South Florida, AdventHealth, Orlando Health, BayCare, HCA Florida, Memorial Healthcare and Cleveland Clinic Florida. We confirm your doctor and hospital are in-network before you enroll.
How much does an ObamaCare plan cost in Florida?
Most Floridians qualify for an Advanced Premium Tax Credit (subsidy) on Healthcare.gov, which can lower monthly premiums significantly — the exact amount depends on your income, household size and county. We run a free subsidy estimate before recommending a plan.
