All Scott and White Marketplace transition countiesWhy a Dallas mailing address is not enough
The Census reference places Dallas in 5 counties. A residence in Collin County or Dallas County or Rockwall County intersects the recorded former Marketplace footprint; that does not establish the replacement plans offered at that address.
The Denton County and Kaufman County portions are not in this issuer's recorded 2026 service area. Do not assume every Dallas resident held one of the affected plans. Check the county on your Marketplace application and compare it with your policy notice.
Arrange January coverage in Dallas
Select a replacement plan by December 15, 2026 for a January 1, 2027 start. A selection from December 16 through January 15 generally starts February 1, 2027, which may leave a January gap. Coverage requires eligibility, enrollment acceptance and the first premium payment.
Review any automatic replacement shown in your HealthCare.gov account rather than assuming the new plan has the same doctors or benefits. Keep the selection confirmation and verify the effective date with the new insurer before changing existing coverage.

The health system lists this facility in its official hospital directory. This confirms a location only—not participation in any replacement Marketplace plan. Check the specific facility and each treating clinician with the insurer and provider for the exact 2027 plan.
- Use your residential address to find available plans. A Dallas provider may treat people from several counties.
- Check the exact 2027 plan name and network, the clinician's practice address and the facility—not just the carrier or health-system name.
- Check prescriptions, pharmacy access, referrals and prior authorization in the replacement plan's documents.
- Confirm acceptance and the coverage start date; ask the carrier about transition-of-care rules if needed.
The Marketplace plan exit does not mean Baylor Scott & White facilities are closing or that employer-group and Medicare Advantage plans are ending. The health system says it will continue accepting Marketplace insurance, but individual network participation requires verification.
